Job summary

DeVry University seeks industry professionals to teach undergraduate and graduate courses across multiple fields. Courses meet once or twice weekly for eight weeks, combining face-to-face interaction with online discussions and assignments.

Faculty develop syllabi, prepare materials, and participate in faculty development to ensure quality instruction. Instructors will facilitate learning, apply technology in teaching, and integrate responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required for all faculty positions (with 18 graduate hours in the subject) or an earned doctorate or master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.
• Applicants must upload unofficial graduate‑level transcripts with their application.
• Degrees must be awarded by an accredited institution or by an internationally equivalent institution.
• Faculty must have a commitment to ongoing professional development in instructional technology, digital literacy, and responsible AI practices.

Responsibilities

• Develops and provides students with an approved DeVry University syllabus that follows a campus template and includes terminal course objectives.
• Organizes, prepares, and regularly revises and updates all course materials.
• Uses online technologies and course-related software, including websites, email, and online discussions, to prepare and deliver course content.
• Models effective oral and written communications that engage students and improve learning.
• Sets clear course expectations by publishing objectives, dates, and weight distributions for evaluations.
• Ensures exam content aligns with course objectives and provides timely feedback to students.
