Job Summary

The Department of Teacher and Administrator Preparation in the College of Education, at the University of Texas at Arlington, Visiting Assistant Professor, Academic Professional Track position, with specialization in literacy studies beginning Spring 2027.

In accordance with USCIS regulations, successful applicants must be legally able to accept work in the United States. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Required Qualifications

Required qualifications for this position include:

• An earned doctorate in literacy, reading, or curriculum and instruction with at least 18 graduate hours in literacy education by December 2026;
• Evidence of strong teaching at the higher education level;
• and a minimum of 3 years of PK-12 classroom teaching experience in literacy education.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated excellence in university teaching in traditional and online environments, an understanding of the structures of schools and systems, and a commitment to developing collaborative relationships.
