Required Qualifications

• An earned doctorate in literacy, reading, or curriculum and instruction with at least 18 graduate hours in literacy education by August 2027;
• Evidence of strong teaching at the higher education level;
• and a minimum of 3 years of PK-12 classroom teaching experience in literacy education.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated excellence in university teaching in traditional and online environments, an understanding of the structures of schools and systems, and a commitment to developing and engaging in collaborative work relationships. Focus or specialization in reading.
