Job summary

Visiting Angels Greenville & Anderson, SC is seeking compassionate in-home aides (CNA or experienced caregivers) to provide one-on-one care to clients across Dorchester, Berkeley and Charleston Counties in South Carolina. The role offers part-time schedules, day/evening/weekend options, and shifts from 2 to 12 hours to fit client rosters.

No CNA license required, just dedication and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• One year in-home caregiver experience preferred.
• Knowledge of DME such as hoyer lift, wheelchairs, transfer bench, walker.
• CPR knowledge is a plus.
• Uphold health and safety standards.
• Strong communication with clients and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one in-home care.
• Assist with ambulation and mobility.
• Medication reminders.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Prepare light meals per dietary needs.
• Transport to appointments and errands.
• Perform light household tasks and companionship.

Work part-time, days, evenings, weekends, or even overnights per current client roster. Provides personal one-on-one care to the client. On-going need to fill this role.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license, working vehicle, commuting required and current, up-to-date insurance
• Must adhere to plans of care for client
• Must have flexibility with schedules per client needs
• One year of in-home, caregiver experience preferred
• Must have good communication skills, have active listening, between clients/families and staff
• Must be able to be calm in emergent situations and inform staff of any changes to client status
• Pass background and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility

• Transportation to and from shops, pharmacy or appointments
• Perform light housekeeping duties for the client

Skills

• One year proven experience as a in-home caregiver (Preferred)
• Knowledge and demonstration of DME such as hoyer lift, wheelchairs, transfer bench, walker/training is available
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response, CPR preferred
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate
• Good time management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
