Job summary

Visiting Angels Greenville & Anderson, SC is seeking in-home caregivers, CNAs and experienced caregivers, to provide one-on-one, non-medical home care in Dorchester, Berkeley, and Charleston Counties. Part-time schedules—days, evenings, weekends or overnights—based on the client roster.

Responsibilities include ambulation support, medication reminders, personal care, light meals, transportation, light housekeeping and companionship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license, working vehicle, commuting required, and current, up-to-date insurance.
• Must adhere to plans of care for the client.
• Must have flexibility with schedules per client needs.
• One year of in-home caregiver experience preferred.
• Must have good communication skills, active listening, between clients/families and staff.
• Must be able to be calm in emergent situations and inform staff of any changes to client status.
• Pass background and drug screening.

• Prepare light meals according to dietary restrictions.
• Transportation to and from shops, pharmacy or appointments.

Skills

• One year of proven experience as an in-home caregiver (Preferred)
• Knowledge and demonstration of DME such as Hoyer lift, wheelchairs, transfer bench and walker (training is available)
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response, (CPR preferred)
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate
• Good time management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

We service Charleston, Dorchester, and Berkeley counties, and the surrounding areas in SC.
