Job summary

Visiting Angels, America’s Choice in Homecare, seeks in-home aides (CNA and experienced caregivers) to provide one-on-one care across Dorchester, Berkeley, and Charleston Counties in SC. Part-time positions with flexible schedules and shifts from 2 to 12 hours are available.

Responsibilities include assisting with mobility, personal care, medication reminders, light meals, transportation, and companionship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and vehicle available.
• One year in-home caregiver experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and active listening required.
• Ability to stay calm in emergencies and follow care plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Prepare light meals according to dietary restrictions.
• Provide transportation to appointments, shops, and pharmacy.
• Perform light household duties for the client.
• Be a kind, engaging, and supportive companion.

Visiting Angels, America’s Choice in Homecare, is seeking In Home Aides, both CNA’s and experienced caregivers in Dorchester, Berkeley and Charleston Counties. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license, working vehicle, commuting required and current, up-to-date insurance
• Must adhere to plans of care for client
• Must have flexibility with schedules per client needs
• One year of in-home, caregiver experience preferred
• Must have good communication skills, have active listening, between clients/families and staff
• Must be able to be calm in emergent situations and inform staff of any changes to client status
• Pass background and drug screening

• One year proven experience as a in-home caregiver (Preferred)
• Knowledge and demonstration of DME such as hoyer lift, wheelchairs, transfer bench, walker/training is available
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response, CPR preferred
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate
• Good time management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

NO CNA LICENSE REQUIRED!
