Job summary

LensCrafters in Bloomingdale, IL seeks an EyeCare Advisor to deliver the LensCrafters Experience in a fast-paced setting. You support patients and clinicians, ensuring high-quality optometric care and a seamless patient journey.

You will greet customers, explain paperwork and tests, review prescriptions, and assist with frame and lens selection while maintaining HIPAA-compliant records and accurate POS transactions.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Strong customer service skills (internal and external)
• Knowledge of current fashion trends
• Strong communicator and listener
• Problem solving ability
• Familiarity with cash register, computers and calculators
• Sales skills
• Strong basic math skills
• Knowledge of office and store merchandise

Responsibilities

• Greets customers promptly
• Explains all required paperwork, tests, products and services
• Reviews prescriptions and patient information carefully; identifies special needs and consults with Optician/Doctor when necessary
• Handles and files patient records in a HIPAA-compliant, organized manner
• Operates the POS system accurately and handles payments
• Explains the One Hour processing and delivery times
• Maintains store appearance and visual displays
• Responds quickly to changes in store promotions with staff communications
