Job summary

Walmart Inc. is seeking an Optician in the Vision Center at our Columbia, SC location. The role focuses on driving sales through merchandise presentation, accurate pricing, and expert customer service while maintaining inventory and compliance with company policy.

You will train and supervise associates, advise Members on eyewear choices, verify prescriptions, and perform minor repairs while protecting patient information and supporting company programs.

Qualifications

• Completion of 2+ years of college or 1 year retail experience with 1 year supervisory experience or 2 years general work experience including 1 year optical experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician where state laws apply.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales in Vision Center with effective merchandising and pricing.
• Supervise and develop Vision Center Associates and ensure customer service excellence.
• Consult with Members/Customers to select products based on needs and prescriptions.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle optical equipment and minor frame repairs.
