Job summary

Walmart Inc. in Beaumont, TX is seeking an Optician/ supervisor to drive Vision Center sales with strong merchandising and customer service. You will supervise Associates, train staff, and ensure accurate eyewear services, measurements and prescription verifications in a compliant environment.

You will help manage inventory, participate in asset protection, and support company programs while upholding Walmart values and a culture of belonging.

Qualifications

• Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience including 1 year’s optical experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales in the Vision Center by merchandise presentation, pricing, signing and inventory management.
• Supervise and develop Associates; hire, train, mentor, assign duties and recognize performance.
• Ensure compliance with policies and assets protection; oversee safety, quality and process improvements.
• Provide eyewear education and ensure accurate prescriptions, measurements and minor frame repairs.
