Job summary

LensCrafters, part of EssilorLuxottica, is seeking an Optometric Technician to deliver the LensCrafters Experience and support the exam process. You will assist the optometrist, manage patient data, and help ensure high-quality eye care and customer service.

The role emphasizes strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining compliance and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year strong customer service skills (internal/external).
• Strong communicator and listener.
• Problem solving ability.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assess priorities, address multiple tasks and deadlines in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Knowledge of office environment.
• Strong basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Display a professional image, greet patients promptly with a smile.
• Promptly answer the telephone in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Assist the optometrist in eye examinations with history taking and patient prep.
• Review prescriptions and patient information carefully; identify special needs.
• Handle and file patient records in HIPAA-compliant manner.
• Support retention and scheduling activities and contact lens orders.
• Maintain inventory and ensure proper handling of contact lenses.
• Provide coaching to patients on care and handling of contact lenses.
