Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for exams, performing preliminary testing, and learning through thorough on‑the‑job training.

This role emphasizes a patient‑centered experience and teamwork. You will help manage patient flow, ensure comfort, and collaborate with the doctor and staff. Some weekend/evening shifts are required, with paid training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to reassure patients during screening.
• Detail-oriented with ability to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about eyewear industry and clinical procedures.
• Healthcare/optical background preferred but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history for the exam prep.
• Maintain smooth patient flow to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures they will undergo.
• Learn to operate pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and assist with tests.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for a seamless patient experience.
