Job summary

Visionworks in Bloomfield, NJ is seeking a friendly Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant to be the face of our exam practice. This part-time role involves patient greetings, preliminary testing, and guiding patients from check-in to the exam floor with clear information.

You'll help maintain records, assist the OD, stock and clean equipment, and support a smooth patient journey. Prior customer or patient service is preferred; HS diploma or GED required; benefits include 401(k) and paid time

Qualifications

• HS diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Related customer or patient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient records before conducing preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information.
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and educate/advise on products and services.
• Execute day-to-day operational tasks to support exam lane maintenance and patient experience (restocking, cleaning, answering phones).
