Job summary

Visionworks in Rockaway, New Jersey seeks a part-time Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant to be the friendly face of our Exam Practice. You will assist with preliminary testing, patient introduction to the OD, and smooth handoffs from doctor to sales floor, while supporting daily store operations and patient experience.

Ideal candidates bring customer or patient service experience, HS diploma or GED, and a passion for helping customers see and look great.

Qualifications

• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.
• Related customer or patient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information.
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and educate on products/services that meet eye care needs.
• Execute day-to-day store operations to support exam lane maintenance and patient experience, including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones.
