Job summary

LensCrafters in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Part-Time EyeCare Advisor to deliver the LensCrafters Experience. You will greet customers, explain tests and services, and assist patients with frames, lenses, and contact lens ordering.

You’ll collaborate with Optometrists and Retail Management to ensure flawless patient care, handle transactions at the POS, and keep records compliant with HIPAA. Prior retail or optical experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills (internal and external).
• Knowledge of current fashion trends.
• Strong communicator and listener.
• Problem solving ability.
• Familiarity with cash register, computers and calculators.
• Organization skills.
• Sales skills.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Knowledge of office and store merchandise.
• Previous experience in customer service, retail and/or optical.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers within 30 seconds and provides attentive service.
• Explains paperwork, tests, products and services to customers.
• Reviews prescriptions and patient information with care.
• Coordinates with Optician/Management for special needs.
• Maintains accurate records and HIPAA compliance.
• Operates POS system for transactions and payments.
• Communicates store promotions to staff and customers.
• Maintains store appearance and visual displays.
• Assists in frame and lens selection aligning with vision and budget.
• Provides coaching on contact lens care when needed.
