Job summary

LensCrafters, part of EssilorLuxottica, is seeking an Assistant Manager in Saint Augustine, FL. The role leads a store team, delivers exceptional customer service, and drives performance metrics alongside the Store Manager.

The position requires an Opticianry license, retail leadership experience, and strong selling and communication skills. Daily responsibilities include coaching staff, managing operations, and ensuring a premium patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Current valid state Opticianry license.
• 1+ year of management/supervisory experience with direct reports.
• Knowledge of retail operations, processes & policies.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Proficiency with cash registers, computers & calculators.
• Excellent English communication (written & spoken).
• Strong interpersonal and selling skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality and improvement to meet KPIs (sales, conversion, customer count, etc.).
• Implements store business plans with a focus on sales and profitability.
• Leads and mentors team members; provides training and constructive feedback.
• Supports recruiting and staffing to build a strong talent pipeline.
• Ensures store adheres to company policies and visual standards.
• Maintains safe, compliant, and welcoming store environment.
• Works flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Under state license, provides lens knowledge and performs eyewear adjustments and measurements.
