Stride, Inc. is seeking a focused School Counselor for K12 Private Academy in a fully virtual role. You will support students’ academic planning, career readiness, and social-emotional development while collaborating with teachers and families.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and an active School Counselor license; a Master’s in school counseling is preferred. Some travel up to 20% may be needed for professional development and meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and School Counselor License preferred.
• Master’s degree in school counseling preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, web-based search engines, and database systems.
• Flexible schedule; ability to travel as needed.
• Experience with distance learning and customer service environment.
• Experience with Local, State, and Federal laws and mandated reporting.
• Experience in a charter school environment preferred.
• Experience with state career planning systems or Pathfinder/tools.

Responsibilities

• Help all students plan for postsecondary options including college and career readiness.
• Review transcripts and plan four-year graduation strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers to align schedules and candidacy for graduation.
• Analyze student data and develop data-driven intervention plans.
• Provide short-term counseling and refer for long-term support as needed.
• Support standardized testing programs and parent education.
• Travel up to 20% for face-to-face professional development and required meetings.
