Job summary

Stride, Inc. is seeking a dedicated School Counselor for a virtual, full-time role with the K12 Private Academy.

The counselor will support student success across academic, social-emotional, and career planning, leveraging data-driven practices and collaboration with families. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and preferably a School Counselor License and a Master’s in school counseling; distance learning experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required for eligibility.
• School Counselor License preferred.
• Masters in school counseling preferred.
• Experience with distance learning.

Responsibilities

• Plan postsecondary options and college readiness for students.
• Review transcripts and develop graduation plans.
• Provide short-term counseling and referrals as needed.
• Meet quarterly with caseloads and monitor progress.
• Travel up to 20% for professional development when required.

Skills

Experience with distance learning

Experience in a customer service

Knowledge of laws and mandated reports

Bachelor's degree
