Stride, Inc. is seeking a dedicated School Counselor for its K12 Private Academy, a virtual private school. This role serves students across the United States, guiding postsecondary planning, academic progress, and career readiness.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of counseling/advisement experience, and preferably a Master’s in school counseling with licensure. The position offers a full-time schedule and requires strong collaboration with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of counseling/advisement experience.
• Master’s degree in school counseling preferred.
• School Counselor License preferred.
• Ability to clear required background check.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, web searches, and databases.
• Experience with distance learning.
• Flexible schedule and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Helps all students plan for postsecondary options.
• Focuses students and families on college and career readiness.
• Meets quarterly with all students on caseload.
• Delivers classroom instruction based on student success standards.
• Reviews transcripts and other academic documentation.
• Audits student schedules for graduation candidacy.
• Assists students in course placement including AP paths.
• Analyzes student data and develops data-driven intervention plans.
• Provides short-term counseling and referrals as needed.
• Travel up to 20% for professional development and related activities.
