Job summary

Stride, Inc. is seeking a School Counselor for its K12 Private Academy, a virtual, nationwide role. The position supports student success through a comprehensive counseling program focusing on academics, social-emotional development, and college/career planning.

A Bachelor's degree is required; a State School Counselor License is preferred, with distance learning and customer service experience considered beneficial. Occasional travel may be needed for professional development and school events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required for the role.
• Master’s degree in school counseling preferred.
• Experience with distance learning is desirable.
• Experience in a customer service environment is beneficial.
• Knowledge of state career planning systems and tools (e.g., Pathfinder) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan for postsecondary options for students (education, military, employment).
• Provide data-driven counseling and plan for college and career readiness.
• Meet quarterly with students on caseload to review graduation plans and options.
• Review transcripts and other academic records for new/returning students.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to develop graduation plans and audit schedules.
• Travel up to 20% for professional development, student testing, and school needs.
