Job summary

Stride, Inc., a Stride Company, is seeking a School Counselor for its K12 Private Academy. This fully virtual role is open to residents of all 50 states and Washington, D.C. The counselor will support student success, postsecondary planning, and academic progression in a data-driven, student-centered environment.

The position requires at least a Bachelor's degree and three years of counseling experience; a Master’s in school counseling is preferred. School Counselor license is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and three years of counseling experience.
• School Counselor License preferred.
• Master’s degree in school counseling preferred.
• Experience with distance learning.
• Experience with charter school environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes student success by providing preventive services and counseling.
• Delivers classroom instruction focused on student success standards.
• Reviews transcripts and academic documentation for new and returning students.
• Develops four-year graduation plans and audits student schedules for candidacy.
