Job summary

Stride, Inc. is seeking a full-time School Counselor for a virtual role open to residents nationwide. The counselor will guide students in academic success, college and career planning, and social-emotional development while participating in data-driven interventions.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, a Master’s in school counseling, and a preferred School Counselor License. Experience with distance learning and K-12 regulatory requirements is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in education, guidance, or related field.
• Master’s in school counseling preferred.
• School Counselor License preferred.
• Experience with distance learning and counseling.
• Experience with local/state/federal laws and mandated reporting.
• Experience in charter school environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventive counseling and support for students’ social, emotional, and academic development.
• Conduct meetings with students and families to plan college/career readiness.
• Review transcripts and academic records; help develop four-year graduation plans.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to monitor student progress and interventions.
• Travel up to 20% for face-to-face professional development and student activities.
• Support standardized testing programs and parent education.
