Stride, Inc. invites applications for a School Counselor role within its K12 Private Academy. This full-time, virtual position serves students across the 50 states and Washington, D.C.

The counselor will guide students in academics, social-emotional development, and college planning, while collaborating with teachers and families to ensure student success. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree (Master’s in school counseling preferred) and a valid counseling license.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• School Counselor license preferred.
• Master’s degree in school counseling preferred.
• Experience with distance learning.
• Experience in a customer service environment.
• Experience with Local, State, and Federals laws and mandated reporting.
• Experience in a charter school environment preferred.
• Experience with state career planning systems, Pathfinder, or other career planning platforms/tools.

Aufgaben

• Plan for postsecondary options (enroll in education, enlist in military option, employ in work force).
• Apply academic achievement strategies.
• Focus families on college and career readiness; meet quarterly with all students on caseload.
• Review transcripts and other academic documentation for new and returning students.
• Develop a four-year graduation plan and audit student schedules for candidacy for graduation.
• Analyze student data and develop data-driven intervention programs.
• Provide short-term counseling and referrals for long-term support.
• Support standardized testing programs; parent education; advocate for students at IEP/ET meetings.
• Focus on goal setting and academic planning for college and career readiness.
• Travel up to 20% for face-to-face professional development and student activities.
