Stride, Inc. is seeking a dedicated School Counselor for its K12 Private Academy online program. The position is full-time, remote, and requires solid counseling experience, collaboration with teachers, and a focus on college and career readiness.

The counselor will guide students through postsecondary planning, reviews transcripts, and supports standardized testing while maintaining a flexible schedule and occasional travel for professional development.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree and three years of counseling/advisement experience.
• School Counselor License Preferred.
• Ability to clear required background check.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Web-based search engines, and database systems.
• Flexible schedule; Ability to travel as needed.
• Master’s degree in school counseling Preferred.
• Experience with distance learning.
• Advanced coursework in counseling and administration.

Mansioni

• Help students plan postsecondary options and apply academic strategies.
• Assist in graduation planning and college/career readiness.
• Deliver classroom instruction based on student success standards.
• Review transcripts and other academic documentation for new and returning students.
• Develop a four-year graduation plan with staff and audits student schedules for candidacy.
• Assist students in course placement including AP pathways.
• Analyze student data and develop data-driven intervention plans.
• Provide short-term counseling and referrals for long-term support.
• Provide a support system that strengthens efforts of teachers, staff, and parents.
• Travel up to 20% for face-to-face professional development, student testing, and/or as required by the school.
