Position Details

Position Title: Virtual Sales Representative
Reports To: Virtual Sales Vice President, Individual Sales
Department: Individual Sales
Term: Permanent Full-Time
Location: Canada

Work Arrangements

You will work from your home office 100% of the time. Some travel may be required based on the assignment, including in-person visits at our Waterloo, ON office or other locations within the Waterloo Region as needed.

The Opportunity

The Virtual Sales Representative plays a key role in our Insurance division, focusing on business development and account management of life insurance advisors across the Western Region. Responsibilities include providing case consultation, sales, and support to drive division growth within assigned territories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the external Director, Insurance Sales
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance-focused advisors through proactive engagement
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and expand advisor relationships for the Insurance Product Line (Universal Life, Whole Life, Term, and Critical Illness)
  • Conduct discussions, seminars, and case consultations with producers
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education and/or relevant professional designations (e.g., CFP, CLU, CHFC, TEP)
  • At least 5 years of experience in the financial industry, particularly in marketing to firms and advisors in life insurance
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Proficiency with office software (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and presentation skills (both written and oral)
  • Willingness to travel as required
