Job summary

Energy Systems Group is seeking an Account Executive to join the Public Sector Central Region. This role is remote with frequent travel up to 50% (including overnights). You will lead new business development with utilities and public sector clients, using a consultative approach to design and deliver energy solutions.

You will coordinate with operations to ensure solutions meet customers’ goals, prepare financial proposals, and manage relationships through installation and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is required.
• Five or more years’ industry experience selling large solutions or equivalent.
• Experience with consultative sales to utility and public-sector clients is preferred.
• Some travel may be required to support virtual/onsite engagements.

Responsibilities

• Prospect for new business via trade shows, publications, internet research, and cold calls.
• Develop knowledge of the renewable energy industry and market trends.
• Build relationships and communicate full scope of solutions to meet client goals.
• Understand customer needs and ensure solutions align with their objectives.
• Prepare professional proposals including financial considerations.
• Maintain customer contact during installation to address needs.
• Monitor account plan progress and respond to market changes.
