Job summary

Hazel Health is seeking a Pediatric Mental Health Therapist (Virtual) to provide high-quality mental health care to K-12 students in partner districts. You will interact with school personnel, families, and stakeholders to expand access to care nationwide.

Responsibilities include counseling, assessments, treatment planning, and collaboration with care teams. The role requires an active license and willingness to pursue other state licensure as needed, with bilingual skills a plus.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted license to practice independently without supervision.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a school-based setting or with school-aged children.
• Fingerprint background check upon hire.
• Knowledge of diagnosis and assessment practices, treatment strategies for children's mental health.
• Telehealth experience preferred.
• Strong tech skills and ability to complete digital documentation.
• Communicates with diverse backgrounds; strong organizational skills.
• Willingness to gain licensure in other states; private space for confidential work.
• Willingness to go through Hazel's credentialing process.
• Bilingual is a strong plus; language fluency may lead to additional compensation.

Responsibilities

• Provide virtual, high-quality, evidence-based mental health counseling to K-12 students.
• Diagnose and conduct initial intake assessments; create individual treatment plans.
• Perform clinical screeners and ongoing progress assessments.
• Collaborate with care management to ensure smooth transitions to Hazel services.
• Obtain credentialing and licensure in requested states.
• Participate in trainings, meetings, and clinical team activities.
• Ensure documentation is accurate and timely per guidelines.
• Maintain required weekly availability and productivity levels.
• Provide telehealth crisis support for schools or students as assigned.
