Job summary

Ysleta Independent School District seeks a Special Education Aide Specialized Support/Structured Communication (SSC) to assist in DESERTAIRE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. Responsibilities include supporting students with disabilities, implementing IEP strategies, and collaborating with certified teachers throughout the school day.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with 48 college hours, SBEC paraprofessional certification, CPR/Heimlich and NCI training, and the ability to use OT/PT equipment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and 48 credit hours from an accredited college or university.
Paraprofessional SBEC certificate required or eligible.
CPR, Heimlich maneuver, and NCI training within district schedule.
Familiar with OT/PT apparatus and able to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

Support students with disabilities under teacher supervision inside and outside the classroom.
Assist with instructional materials, behavioral interventions, and physical needs of students.
Implement IEP strategies and document services provided.
Support students with wheelchair transfers, lifting, and personal care as needed.
Assist with testing, classroom technology, and data collection.
