Job summary

Ysleta Independent School District is seeking a Special Education Aide for ECSEII at Riverside Elementary School. The role supports students with disabilities, assists with IEP implementation, and helps with instructional materials and behavior management under the supervision of a certified teacher.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 48 college hours if available, SBEC paraprofessional certification eligibility, CPR and NCI training, and the ability to use OT/PT equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 48 college hours preferred or obtained.
• SBEC paraprofessional certificate required or eligible for certification.
• CPR and NCI certification training within district calendar.
• Ability to use OT/PT apparatus and adapt instructional tools.
• Strong English reading, writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Help supervise students throughout the school day, inside and outside the classroom (lunchroom, bus, playground).
• Assist teacher with instructional materials, behavioral interventions, and physical needs of students.
• Participate in staff development and apply strategies in curriculum.
• Work with individual students, small groups, and whole class as assigned.
• Assist with IEP implementation and documentation of services.
