Job summary

Commonwealth Charter Academy seeks a Life Skills Support Special Education Teacher to provide and manage specially designed instruction via a virtual platform from a Pennsylvania Family Service Center.

The role collaborates with learners, families, and school staff to implement IEPs in compliance with federal and state regulations. This full-time position requires PA certification and flexibility for occasional travel and in-person meetings.

Qualifications

• Requires PA Special Education Certification and licensure.
• Experience delivering specially designed instruction in Life Skills/related settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with online platforms and state/federal compliance for IEPs is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as school-based special education case manager for designated caseload and ensure compliance with timelines.
• Provide direct services and instruction in reading, writing, math, science, social studies, and employability/independence skills.
• Gather data, write goals, monitor progress, and communicate growth to families.
