Job summary

Commonwealth Charter Academy seeks a Special Education Teacher- Emotional Support to deliver specially designed instruction through a virtual platform from a Pennsylvania Family Service Center. You will manage IEPs, coordinate with caretakers, and collaborate with staff to ensure compliant delivery of services while utilizing technology tools and data to track progress.

The role requires services in IEP implementation, data-driven planning, and regular engagement with learners and families;

Qualifications

Certified to teach in Pennsylvania with Special Education Certification.
Pedagogical knowledge of content and ability to apply critical thinking.
Knowledge of state content standards and ability to align with K-12 curriculum.
Strong communication skills and professional judgement.

Responsibilities

Serve as school-based special education case manager for designated caseload, ensuring compliance with timelines.
Provide direct services and instruction to learners as defined by the IEP.
Develop lesson plans and deliver small group instruction on emotional support needs.
Gather data and monitor progress toward IEP goals; organize IEP meetings in virtual environments.
Maintain accurate data in LMS and related software; ensure proper paperwork for IEP processes.
