Job summary

The Unconventional is seeking a Japanese Distance Learning Associate Language Instructor for live virtual DL instruction and program support. You will deliver instruction to improve proficiency across Listening, Reading and Speaking, and develop materials to support regional expertise and culture topics.

Requirements include US citizenship, native or near-native proficiency with ILR 3/3/3, and experience in virtual instruction.

Qualifications

• US citizen required.
• Native or near-native speaker.
• ILR 3/3/3 or equivalent.
• Experience delivering virtual language instruction.
• Ability to develop blended learning materials.
• Access to required hardware and stable internet.

Responsibilities

• Provide virtual language instruction to improve proficiency across Listening, Reading and Speaking.
• Develop lesson plans and learning materials as required.
• Assess, correct, and provide feedback on assignments.
• Collaborate with managers to address curriculum gaps.
• Maintain a positive and professional virtual learning environment.
