Job summary

The Unconventional seeks a Korean Distance Learning Associate Language Instructor to support live virtual distance-learning (DL) foreign language instruction and LREC program services for the region. This remote role requires native or near-native proficiency and ILR 3/3/3 or equivalent, with experience delivering virtual instruction and developing blended-learning materials.

You will deliver ILR-aligned instruction, develop lesson plans, assess learners from ILR 0+ to 3, review assignments,

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required.
• Native or near-native proficiency in the foreign language with ILR 3/3/3 or equivalent.
• Experience delivering virtual foreign language instruction.
• Ability to create blended-learning lessons and materials.
• Understanding of regional/cultural context of the language region.
• Access to a Windows computer, webcam, headset with microphone, a phone or tablet, and reliable internet.

Responsibilities

• Provide virtual language instruction to improve listening, reading, and speaking skills using standardized measures (DLPT, ACTFL, OPI).
• Deliver instruction on regional and culture topics using modern blended-learning methods.
• Develop lesson plans and learning materials as required.
• Assess, adapt, and deliver instruction for ILR levels 0+ to 3.
• Review, correct, and grade assignments; provide feedback.
• Maintain a positive virtual learning environment and coordinate with site lead and POI analyst to support instruction.
• Collaborate with site lead and POI analyst to address student and curriculum gaps.
