Job summary

The Unconventional is seeking a Russian Distance Learning Associate Language Instructor to support live virtual Distance Learning (DL) foreign language instruction and program support services. The role focuses on delivering instruction across ILR levels from 0+ to 3, using modern blended-learning methodologies, and collaborating with site leads and analysts.

Requirements include US citizenship, native or near-native proficiency, and experience in virtual language instruction.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required.
• ILR 3/3/3 or equivalent in listening, reading, and speaking.
• Experience delivering virtual foreign language instruction.
• Understanding of the cultural, social, and political environment of the region.
• Access to Windows PC, webcam, headset, and reliable internet.

Responsibilities

• Provide virtual language instruction to improve proficiency across Listening, Reading, and Speaking.
• Provide virtual instruction on regional and culture subjects using blended-learning methods.
• Develop lesson plans and learning materials as required.
• Assess, develop a lesson plan, and deliver instruction based on student levels ILR 0+ - 3.
• Review, correct, and grade assignments with feedback.
• Maintain a professional virtual learning environment and address behavior/attendance concerns with site lead.
