Job summary

Pomelo Care is building a network of experienced birth and full-spectrum doulas to educate and guide families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. This independent contractor role requires certification, postpartum support, and strong communication to connect with diverse families nationwide.

You will work virtually and in-person, including evenings and weekends, with credentialing and administrative support provided by Pomelo.

Qualifications

• Must have completed certification and training as a birth and/or full-spectrum doula.
• Experience working as a doula with understanding of pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with diverse families, virtually and in-person.
• Comfort using telehealth platforms, video conferencing, and electronic documentation systems.
• Availability for virtual and in-person work, including evenings and weekends.
• Located in or able to serve Greenville, Lexington, Spartanburg and York counties in South Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Educate and guide families throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
• Improve birth outcomes by ensuring families feel supported and empowered.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation for visits and birth support.
• Follow documentation, privacy, quality, and compliance standards for Pomelo services.
