Job summary

Peraton in the United States is seeking a VDI Engineer to maintain and optimize the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure in a U.S. Forces Korea context. You will coordinate with network, security, and service teams to keep the VDI environment secure and responsive.

The role requires US citizenship, an active Secret clearance, IAT II certification, and the ability to obtain Invited Contractor status under SOFA. Experience with VMware, Citrix, or Azure Virtual Desktop is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with a BS/BA, or 3+ years with an MS/MA.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain Invited Contractor status under SOFA.
• IAT II certification and an Active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain smooth operation of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment, coordinating with network engineers.
• Monitor resources (GPU, disk usage, response times) to maintain operating efficiency.
• Perform security administration tasks, including creating user profiles and accounts.
• Virtualize, package, and deploy applications within the VDI environment using approved virtualization technologies.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks including security patching, software updates, and performance monitoring.
• Research industry best practices and advise government leadership.
• Collaborate with Network Operations, Cyber Security, and Service Desk to ensure VDI is secure and operational.
• Produce high-quality papers and findings for senior US government within USFK Staff on emerging technology in VDI.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation related to the VDI environment, including guides, troubleshooting, and training materials.
• Maintain and update the Dynamic Environment Manager (DEM) for user profile management and tailored settings.
• Maintain and update Horizon True SSO for AD integration.

• Maintain and update the Dynamic Environment Manager (DEM) for user profile management, creating tailored application settings and user profiles.
• Maintain and update Horizon True SSO for seamless integration with Active Directory.
