Job summary

Peraton seeks a Systems Administrator for a United States Forces Korea assignment. The role focuses on maintaining multi-user computer systems, coordinating with network engineers, and delivering reliable IT support on site.

As a junior position, you will monitor resources, perform security tasks, create user profiles, assist with software deployments, and help evaluate vendor products to keep systems secure and efficient in a demanding DoD environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 0–2 years experience, or 4 years in lieu.
• Experience with MS-SharePoint, Windows Desktop Support and Tier 1 IT support.
• DOD8570.01M IAT Level II (Security+ or higher) certification.
• Active Secret clearance (SSBI) with ability to obtain TS clearance.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain Invited Contractor status under the SOFA.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage system resources to maintain operating efficiency.
• Perform systems security administration and create user profiles.
• Set up administrator accounts, maintain system documentation, and assist with software deployment.
• Interact with users and evaluate vendor products.
• Make recommendations to purchase hardware and software and coordinate installations.
• Develop and monitor policies for allocation of computing resources.

Our Systems Administrator is a junior position which will maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers.

You'll have the opportunity to:

• Monitor and manage system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency.
• Perform systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts.
• Performing other duties may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.
• Interact with users and evaluates vendor products.
• Make recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
