Jobtailor is seeking an Architect to plan, engineer, and implement desktop virtualization solutions in a VDI environment, coordinating with cross-functional teams to maintain secure client infrastructure configurations.

The role requires DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification and VMware certification, with emphasis on Omnissa suite, for ongoing deployment, patching, encryption, and configuration management across the enterprise.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and nine (9) years or more experience; Master's degree and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
U.S. citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance.
DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ with CE).
VMware Certified Professional certification (Data Center v7.x) with an emphasis on the Omnissa suite of offerings.

Responsibilities

Architect, plan, engineer, and implement desktop virtualization technology and solutions.
Manage end-user applications and software for desktops/laptops and applications hosted in the VDI environment.
Coordinate with network, server services, and security teams to resolve issues and ensure consistent, compatible client infrastructure configurations.
Facilitate automated software deployment, image creation, and compatibility.
Ensure security compliance through patching, encryption, configuration management, remote device management, and reporting/visibility.
Resolve end-user hardware or software issues in the virtual environment.
Coordinate with technicians to develop and maintain Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and perform or direct testing.
Research, maintain, and apply expertise in emerging technologies, industry developments, trends, best practices, and VDI architecture principles.
Develop knowledge articles related to VDI environments
