Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Solutions Architect to accelerate AWS adoption in State and Local Government.

This virtual Indiana-focused role combines technical leadership with sales collaboration to design cloud architectures, respond to RFPs, and guide deployments on AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and CloudFront. You will own engagements, educate customers, and share best practices across the AWS SA community while traveling up to 30% as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
• 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
• 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS.
• Build and migrate applications, software and services on the AWS platform.
• Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS and participate in deep architectural discussions for cloud deployments.
• Conduct training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or using AWS.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS SA community.
• Contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as white papers.
• Act as a technical liaison between customers, Service Teams and Support.
