Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect for California's State and Local Government to lead technical engagements and define architectures for complex cloud-based solutions.

You will work with customers, partners, and an extended AWS team to win opportunities, respond to RFPs, and deliver secure, scalable deployments using AWS services. Travel up to 30% is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of technology domain experience (e.g., software dev, cloud, systems eng, infra, security, networking, data & analytics).
• 3+ years design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 10+ years IT development or implementation/consulting in software/Internet industries.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical engagement and success around implementation projects.
• Define architectures, respond to RFPs, and develop AWS expertise.
• Be SME on security as it relates to customer applications and services.
• Lead knowledge sharing within the AWS solution architect community.
• Collaborate with sales and business development to drive opportunities.
• Educate and mentor teams across the AWS solution architect community.
