Job summary

Compass Health Center, LLC is seeking a group therapist to lead evidence-based groups using CBT and DBT. You will work with patients and families in a dynamic, team-based setting across PHP/IOP programs dedicated to crisis-level mental health.

The role requires a psychologist or master’s level therapist with provisional or independent licensure in IL, MN, or WI. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule with opportunity for professional growth within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Psychologist or master’s level therapist with licensure in IL, MN or WI.
• Provisional or independent clinical license in IL, MN, or WI.
• Strong CBT and DBT skills required and preferred.
• Experience in PHP/IOP or related settings is a plus.
• Ability to facilitate group therapy and collaborate with treatment teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead group therapy sessions in a safe, therapeutic milieu.
• Develop and maintain therapeutic group relationships to foster change.
• Utilize CBT and DBT as core modalities in treatment.
• Communicate clinical information during rounds with the treatment team.
• Develop program materials and adapt content to group needs.
• Engage in crisis management when needed.
• Create and update individualized treatment plans.
• Chart patient progress in the EMR.
• Possibly meet with patients individually for case management.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 10am-6pm CST

What You'll Do:

• Providing group therapy to patients in a safe and therapeutic milieu
• Developing effective therapeutic group relationships that promote positive change in patients
• Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as other evidenced-based therapies
• Relaying relevant clinical information to treatment team during daily rounds and as needed
• Developing program material and adjusting group therapy content, as needed, to fit group needs
• Engaging in crisis management, as needed
• Creating and updating treatment plans
• Charting in our electronic medical records system
• This position may also include meeting with patients individually for case management

Who You Are:

• Are passionate about facilitating group therapy and seeking an environment to work collaboratively with others
• Are a Psychologist or Master’s level therapist
• Provisional or independent clinical license in the state of Illinois, Minnesota, or Wisconsin
• Possess a core skill set of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills
• Have prior experience working in partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, inpatient hospital, or residential setting (preferred, not required)

Compensation: $47,000 USD - $65,000 USD
