Job summary

Compass Health Center seeks a dedicated Primary Therapist to work with patients across the PHP/IOP programs. You will conduct intake evaluations, craft individualized treatment plans, and guide patients through treatment in collaboration with our multidisciplinary teams.

Licensed Master’s level therapists with 2+ years post-Master’s experience, strong CBT/DBT expertise, and crisis care experience are encouraged to apply for our virtual care model serving Illinois, Minnesota, and beyond.

Qualifications

• Are a Psychologist or Master’s level therapist with clinical license (required)
• 2+ years clinical work experience post-Master’s (strongly preferred)
• Have knowledge and experience utilizing CBT and DBT, as well as other evidenced-based therapies
• Have experience with patients in crisis, ideally prior experience working in partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, inpatient hospital, or residential setting

Responsibilities

• Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as other evidenced-based therapies
• Overseeing initial and continuing insurance needs of patients
• Meeting with patients individually to assess progress and guide treatment planning
• Coordinating care with patient’s individual providers to ensure continuity of care
• Assessing patient’s progress and need for higher level of care or discharge
• Communicating with patient’s family members or support system when indicated
• Charting in our electronic medical records system
• Engaging in crisis management
• Providing group therapy, as needed

Weekly outpatient therapy isn't always enough, and a trip to the ER isn't the only answer. Patients and their families rely on CompassHealth Center whenincrisis – every day, wehelp people overcome depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, chronic pain, and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.

About This Role

As aPrimary Therapist, you’ll work thoughtfully with our patients to develop and implement their individualized treatment plans. This role will consist of conducting individual therapy meetings, collaborating with patients’ outpatient teams, and leading patients through their overall treatment program. You’ll partner closely with the entirety of our treatment teams, including Group Therapists, Family Therapists, and Prescribers to ensure comprehensive and compassionate care.

Schedule

Must have flexibility between 8:30am-6:30pm CST Monday through Friday

Preference for candidates based in Illinois or Minnesota with an active, full clinical license.

Compensation: $55,000 USD - $90,000 USD
