Job summary

Compass Health Center is seeking a licensed clinician to lead group therapy for children and adolescents in Oak Brook, using DBT/CBT and other evidence-based modalities. You will develop treatment plans, provide crisis intervention, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.

You will also support families via phone coaching, document weekly progress, and contribute to a compassionate, growth‑oriented program committed to high‑quality care.

Qualifications

• Psychologist or Master’s level clinician.
• License or eligibility: LSW, LPC, LCSW, LCPC, PsyD or PhD.
• Experience with CBT/DBT skills and group therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and facilitate DBT/CBT skill groups for youths aged 8-13 and 14-17.
• Provide crisis intervention and staff support as needed.
• Develop and document treatment plans and weekly updates.
• Co-facilitate creative expression and experiential groups.
• Support families via phone coaching and follow-up calls.

Weekly outpatient therapy isn't always enough, and a trip to the ER isn't the only answer. About This Role

As a group therapist in our Child and Adolescent Programs, you will spend the majority of your time with our patients facilitating evidenced based groups using modalities like CBT, DBT, and ACT. We are seeking new and experienced clinicians with a passion for delivering dynamic and informative groups for our patients. What You'll Do:

• Developing and implementing DBT/CBT skill groups, working with patients aged 8-13 (child program) and 14-17 years old (adolescent program)
• Providing crisis intervention and staff support, as needed
• Developing and documenting treatment plans and weekly update
• Co-facilitating creative expression and other experiential therapeutic groups
• Assisting program director in supporting families through phone coaching and follow-up calls
• Checking in with treatment team about changes and progress for individual patients
• Providing clinical observations and insights during interdisciplinary meetings
• Providing individual support to patients, as needed
• Providing support to other team members in various treatment groups
• Providing guidance and support for milieu staff during skills and executive functioning therapy activities/instruction
• Other duties, as assigned

Who You Are:

• Are passionate about facilitating group therapy and seeking an environment to work collaboratively with others
• Are a Psychologist or Master’s level therapist
• Hold the following licenses or education: LSW (or LSW eligible), LPC (or LPC eligible), LCSW, LCPC, PsyD, or PhD
• Possess a core skill set of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills
• Have prior experience working in partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, inpatient hospital, or residential setting (preferred, not required)

Compensation: $47,000 USD - $65,000 USD
