Job summary

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company is seeking an Export VIP Client Support Specialist to ensure top-tier service for VIP cargo customers. You will manage bookings, respond to inquiries, and coordinate with multiple departments to keep shipments moving smoothly.

The role requires on-site presence five days a week in Chicago, with benefits including health and life insurance, disability coverage, and a 401K plan. Prior logistics or shipping experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in supply chain, logistics, or customer service.
• Advanced English communication.
• Strong attention to details.
• Organized and able to manage time effectively.
• Strong customer service mindset and responsiveness.
• MS Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Processes booking requests per booking procedure.
• Handles emails and phone calls per customer service procedure.
• Issues needed EMC based on manifest corrector procedure.
• Ensures bookings are rated correctly and communicates rate discrepancies.
• Understands account contracts to communicate rates and stipulations.
• Maintains daily productivity and KPI reports.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with customers via email/phone/meetings.
• Assists Finance in collection of outstanding invoices.
• Losters coordination with US/overseas departments for loading/unloading.
