Job summary

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company is seeking an Import VIP Account Specialist in Houston to nurture VIP accounts, ensure smooth onboarding, and deliver tailored logistics solutions. The role combines relationship management with cross‑functional collaboration to uphold premier VIP service.

You will own the client experience, monitor performance metrics, and coordinate with Finance, Tech, and Logistics teams to address issues and optimize outcomes for top customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 2-4 years of experience in account management, customer service, or a similar role.
• Demonstrated ability to manage high‑value client relationships with professionalism and discretion.
• Strong analytical skills with data reporting, quality control, and process optimization.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client‑centric mindset.

Responsibilities

• VIP onboarding: oversee onboarding for VIP customers with Finance, Tech, and Logistics teams.
• Manage Terms & Conditions updates and ensure stakeholders are informed.
• Conduct daily quality control checks and report analyses with VIP Analysts.
• Understand client needs and align service deliverables with VIP standards.
• Monitor account performance and provide insights to management.
• Collaborate across departments to resolve account-specific issues.
• Conduct Operational Quarterly Business Reviews for assigned accounts.
• Serve as first escalation point for customer issues and determine escalation needs.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with VIP accounts.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and overall VIP service.
