Job summary

Oaklawn is seeking a Casino Host to develop and coordinate programs that attract, retain, and maximize revenue from casino players. You will collaborate with Marketing and Customer Service to cultivate VIP guests, manage comps, and organize travel arrangements and reservations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a casino setting preferred, but not required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must always keep player and company information private.
• Must demonstrate an understanding of all casino games and slot machines.
• Must present a professional, well-groomed appearance.
• Must have the ability to learn new casino-related software programs.
• Must be flexible regarding schedule and be able to work varied shifts.
• Ability to work a schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to travel to and from off-site assignments frequently.
• Occasional travel out of state may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop/Marketing team collaboration to attract high-limit players.
• Work with departments to cultivate market for VIP guests.
• Monitor programs and adjust based on play, points and profitability.
• Host casino guests and accommodate needs within program guidelines.
• Arrange reservations, transportation, and accommodations.
• Assist guests with questions and special requests for maximum convenience.
