Job summary

Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation (YKHC) in Chevak seeks a Behavioral Health Aide Trainee to provide village-based assessments, crisis stabilization, case management, screenings, and rehabilitation services under supervision. You will progress through a certification program toward BHA-I with a 180-hour training and a 100-hour practicum under a licensed clinician.

Qualifications

• High school or GED required; commit to certification progression.
• Two years' experience in Community Services; volunteer work accepted with documentation.
• Must communicate, retrieve and present data verbally, in writing, and electronically.
• Flexible schedule; ability for independent action within prescribed limits.
• Plan to obtain Substance Abuse Counselor certification with supervisor guidance.
• Complete 180 hours toward BHA-I training and a 100-hour practicum under supervision.
