Job summary

Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is hiring a Behavioral Health Aide Trainee for the Russian Mission area. The role supports assessments, crisis stabilization, and case management under supervision, with emphasis on data recording and collaborative care.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and offers a pathway to BHA-I certification, with a 180-hour training and a 100-hour practicum under supervision. Alaska Native preference applies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; plan to advance through certification.
• Two years’ experience in community services preferred; volunteer work acceptable.
• Must be able to communicate, retrieve and present data in written and electronic form.
• Bilingual Yup’ik/English/Regional preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a licensed clinician, perform village-based substance use assessments and crisis stabilization.
• Provide case management and screening as part of rehabilitation services.
• Support through data collection and documentation to aid treatment planning and recovery.
