Job summary

YKHC Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Alaska is seeking a Village-based behavioral health professional to perform substance use assessments, crisis stabilization, case management, screenings, and rehabilitation services in rural communities.

Under the supervision of a licensed clinician, you will develop and implement plans, coordinate care, and support individuals seeking help across the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta, contributing to improved health outcomes in the region.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must commit to advancing through a certification program.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Community Services; volunteer work counted if documented.
• Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
• Flexible with work schedule and able to act independently within defined limits.

Responsibilities

• Provide village-based substance use assessments, crisis stabilization, case management, screenings and rehabilitation services under supervision.
• Develop and implement care plans and coordinate services for clients across settings.
• Collect, document and present information clearly; maintain accurate records.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adapt to rural Alaska working conditions.
