Job summary

FAIRMONT Maui invites a Villa Concierge to connect discerning villa guests with the best local beaches, dining and cultural experiences. You will be an ambassador of exceptional service, anticipating needs and ensuring guests feel valued throughout their stay.

In this role you will coordinate guest requests, assist with check-in/check-out when needed, maintain accurate communications, and build relationships with local partners. Strong English and hospitality expertise are essential.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be service oriented and able to communicate with all levels of staff and guests.
  • Able to read and write to facilitate communication.
  • Proficient with basic computing and MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of guest requests, recording and tracking communications, bookings and itineraries.
  • Assist with villa check-in/check-out when Villa Manager is unavailable.
  • Maintain up-to-date information and communicate with guests, staff and partners daily.
  • Develop relationships with Fairmont counterparts and local hospitality providers.
  • Manage time to complete tasks per shift requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to Hawaii food handling standards.
  • Participate in monthly departmental promotions.
  • Provide engaging, personalized, timely service with aloha spirit.
  • Know island activities, restaurants, and resort offerings to guide guests.

As a Villa Concierge, you will be connecting our villa guests to the best their destination hast to offer - whether it’s beaches, restaurants or cultural experiences. You will be an ambassador for exceptional service with a passion to continually exceed expectations and anticipate guest needs to ensure our guests feel valued.

Hourly Rate: $29.38

What you will be doing:
  • Coordinating all aspects of the guest requests, recording and tracking all pertinent communications, bookings and details of guest itineraries to the highest level of satisfaction at all times.
  • In the absence of the Villa Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with the Villa guest check-in/check-out process, in house guest questions/requests, and reporting any guest feedback to the Manager on Duty.
  • Maintaining communication of up to date, accurate information between guests, staff, management and our partners on a daily basis.
  • Developing and maintaining contacts and professional working relationships with counter parts in other Fairmont properties, the Maui community and hospitality service providers in our area.
  • Manage time efficiently to ensure completion of all tasks in accordance with shift requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, healthy, and safety working area.
  • Must be able to adhere to the State of Hawaii food handling safety standards.
  • Actively participate in monthly departmental sales promotions.
  • Maintain atmosphere of aloha spirit by providing engaging, personalized, timely, and efficient service to our discerning guests.
  • Focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
  • Be knowledgeable of the island, activities, restaurants, our resort, venue menus and offerings in order to be our guests' trusted guide.

Your experience and skills include:

  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
  • Must be service oriented and capable of communicating effectively with persons involved in all levels of authority, both internally and externally.
  • Must possess basic computational ability.
  • Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-mail functions.
  • Knowledge of computerized Front Office systems required with emphasis in Micros-Fidelio based programs (Opera).
  • Must be able to multi-task and be detail-oriented in a fast paced, high volume environment.
  • Must have ability to work independently and to prioritize or seek clarification in prioritizing work assignments.
Education
  • High School diploma and/or vocational training
  • A Degree in Hotel/Hospitality or Tourism is an asset.
Experience
  • Minimum of one year experience in a fast paced Hotel environment involving multi-tasking, attention to detail, administrative duties and customer service.
  • Previous experience in luxury hotel environment desirable.
Licenses or Certificates
  • Les Clefs d'Or is an asset
