Job summary

Leidos seeks Vietnamese Language Instructors to deliver structured language training for a national security mission. You will conduct 3–5 hours of daily instruction across ILR 0–3 levels, administer proficiency tests weekly, and develop engaging materials to support culturally informed language teaching.

The role emphasizes excellence in language pedagogy, adult education, and integration of current events. A TS/SCI clearance is required upon hire.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in education, foreign language, or linguistics with 8–12 years of experience or Master’s with 2–10 years of experience.
Minimum of 10 years of adult teaching experience.
Team Teaching experience a plus.
Must score 90% or higher on the English test.
Must score Senior level.
Degree earned in the U.S. or in a country where the target language is native.
Proficient in MS Office and basic internet research.
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and the foreign language.
Travel 0–10%.

Responsibilities

Deliver 3–5 hours of daily instruction across ILR levels 0–3.
Complete training and become a certified language tester, with 3–4 proficiency assessments weekly.
Instruct students in speaking a foreign language and teaching culture through communication.
Develop class materials and training aids to meet student needs.
Work under direction of senior instructors; maintain currency with current events in target countries.
